Material selection and pretreatment
1. Substrate selection:
304, 316, or 316L stainless steel material is selected, which has a corrosion resistance of 18% chromium and 8% nickel content, and can withstand working temperatures from -196 ℃ to 800 ℃.

2.Silk processing:
Straighten the silk material, eliminate raw material bending, and ensure weaving or welding accuracy
Surface acid washing removes oxide scale and oil stains, improving the quality of subsequent processing.

Filter forming process
1. Weaving/Welding Forming:
Weaving method: Using plain weave, diagonal weave and other weaving methods, controlling the wire diameter (0.1-2mm) to form a uniform mesh structure with a pore size of 5 μ m-5mm;
Welding method: The coarse wire mesh material is fixed by argon arc welding or resistance welding to form a high-strength mesh structure.

2. Sintering process (optional): Multiple layers of stainless steel mesh are laminated and pressed, and then vacuum sintered to form a sintered mesh with a gradient filtering structure.
Filter structure processing
1. Wave bending treatment: The filter screen and support layer (galvanized mesh or copper mesh) are processed into a corrugated shape by a wave bending machine, increasing the effective filtration area by 30% -50%.

2. Skeleton assembly:
Choose stainless steel or plastic frame as the core support
Adjust the thickness and aperture of the skeleton according to pressure requirements to prevent deformation of the filter material.

3. End cap welding:
Using argon gas shielded welding technology, the filter screen is precisely welded to the stainless steel end cap

Post processing and detection
1. Surface treatment:
Electrolytic polishing improves surface smoothness
Spraying PTFE coating enhances wear resistance.
2. Performance testing:
Microscopic detection of aperture uniformity (error ≤± 5%)
Simulate working conditions to test filtration efficiency and pressure drop
Salt spray test to verify corrosion resistance (ASTM B117 standard).

If the filter element has been alkaline washed before, the alkaline solution must be washed first, otherwise fatty acids will precipitate and contaminate the filter element.
