Product DESCRIPTION

The Copper Sintered Powder Filter Element is a precision-engineered porous metal filtration component designed for a wide range of gas and liquid filtration applications. With its compact dimensions, this miniature filter element delivers reliable particle retention in a space-saving package, making it ideal for instrumentation lines, laboratory equipment, pneumatic systems, and compact industrial processes.

This filter element is manufactured using selected spherical tin bronze or copper alloy powder through a high-temperature vacuum sintering process. The raw copper powder is first shaped by cold isostatic pressing or compression molding, then sintered in a controlled atmosphere furnace. During this process, individual copper particles fuse at their contact points through atomic diffusion without fully melting, creating a robust, three-dimensional porous monolithic structure with uniform pore distribution and high permeability.

FEATURES

* Excellent Mechanical Strength: The sintering treatment creates a strong metallurgical bond between copper particles, endowing the filter element with high compressive strength and wear resistance.

* Fully Cleanable and Reusable: The robust all-metal construction enables simple cleaning through backwashing, ultrasonic cleaning, or chemical soaking. A combination of ultrasonic cleaning and appropriate solvents effectively cleans porous copper sintered filter elements, enabling multiple reuse cycles.

* Good Assembly Performance: Can be welded, bonded, and mechanically processed as needed. No external skeleton support required—simple to install and maintain.

* Self-Supporting Structure: High mechanical strength and good rigidity eliminate the need for additional skeleton support, simplifying installation and reducing system complexity.

* One-Piece Forming: Copper powder sintered products are formed in one go without the need for cutting, ensuring structural integrity and eliminating potential failure points.

1. Efficient filtration: Fiberglass filters have very small pore sizes, which can filter out small particles and impurities in water, greatly improving water quality.

2. Chemical corrosion resistance: Fiberglass filters have characteristics such as acid resistance, alkali resistance, and high temperature resistance, and can also be used normally in chemical environments.

3. Long service life: Fiberglass filters usually have a longer service life than ordinary filters, usually reaching more than six months.

4. Easy to maintain: The maintenance of fiberglass filter is relatively simple, only requiring regular cleaning or replacement, and the maintenance cost is relatively low.

FAQ

Q1: What is a copper sintered powder filter element?
A: A copper sintered powder filter element is a porous metal filtration component made from compacting copper alloy or spherical tin bronze powder and sintering it at high temperatures. The process fuses the powder particles at their contact points without fully melting them, creating a rigid, three-dimensional porous structure with uniform pore size distribution, high porosity, and excellent mechanical strength.

Q2: What is the porosity of this copper filter element?
A: Copper sintered filters typically achieve 30–50% porosity , providing a large flow area and reduced fluid resistance while maintaining effective particle retention.

Q3: Can this filter element be cleaned and reused?
A: Yes. One of the key advantages of sintered metal filters is their reusability. Common cleaning methods include:

* Ultrasonic cleaning: A combination of ultrasonic cleaning and appropriate solvents effectively cleans porous sintered bronze filter elements

* Backwashing: Reverse flow of clean fluid or gas to dislodge captured particles

* Chemical soaking: Soaking in compatible cleaning solutions

* Mechanical cleaning: For surface debris removal

Q4: What is the difference between copper and bronze sintered filters?
A: Copper sintered filters are made from pure copper powder or copper alloy powder. Bronze sintered filters are made from copper-tin alloy powder (tin bronze). Bronze typically offers slightly higher mechanical strength and wear resistance than pure copper, while pure copper provides higher thermal and electrical conductivity. Huahang manufactures both materials based on specific application requirements.

Q5: What are the advantages of copper over stainless steel for filter applications?
A: Copper sintered filters offer three distinct advantages over stainless steel:

* Superior thermal conductivity: >400 W/mK vs. ~14 W/mK, ideal for heat dissipation applications

* Excellent electrical conductivity: Suitable for EMI/RFI shielding and current transmission paths

* Lower initial cost: Copper sintered filters are typically more affordable
